Louis Marchesi and Rushcutters
We had a good night at the Louis Marchesi on Saturday 18th - special thanks to Douglas Sheldrake for filling in on keyboards.
But wait, there's more.
This Sunday, 26 Aug, we'll be back at the Rushcutters. We're on at 7, but to entertain you while you are waiting there'll be party band Ignite. It should be an afternoon and evening of fun and frolics.

Deputations
No sooner had Paul 'The Thunder' Borley returned to the band after his recent illness than our organist Henry 'Cromer Fats' Gee reached a little too far to reach the last chocolate biscuit, tripped, and broke his ankle.
He'll be out of action for the next six weeks or so, but while he's away we've secured the services of Douglas Sheldrake of Bellayre, and Tony Edwards of the Groove Organic (though not simultaneously) so the joint will still be jumping even though Henry'll have his feet up.
"I strongly recommend the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital", says Henry. "I've been lying back in bed, being waited on hand and foot, or in my case, mostly foot, by lots of really nice people, who keep giving me these really great free drugs."

The Gull and Walnut
It's been a busy weekend for us, with gigs at the Gull in Framingham Pigot on Friday, and the Walnut Tree Shades in the Centre of Norwich on Saturday. Unfortunately Paul Borley is unwell, so on Friday the drum stool was occupied by the very wonderful Chris Bell ...
...while on Saturday the hot seat was taken by the fabulous Jeff Cooper, a former member of the Counterfeit Stones.
Thanks Chris and Jeff for your sterling performances at short notice! Although you were both great, we miss our man Paul and wish him a speedy recovery. Hopefully he'll be back with us, thundering away at the back as usual, when we play at the Louis Marchesi on Saturday 18 August.
The show at the Gull was opened for us with some Rat Pack sounds courtesy of Tim Rivers...
Thanks Tim!
Meanwhile, Nick looks on, regally...
... and here is Dom doing his (Waln)nut at the 'Shades.

Hot, Hot, Hot!
The heat was hot at the Rushcutters on Sunday, and not just from the weather. Here we are entertaining Sunday afternoon drinkers and diners at this idyllic waterside location. Don't forget, we're at the equally idyllic Gull in Framingham Pigot this coming Friday, from 8.30pm. Where it'll be cooler.

Tomorrow at the Rushcutters
Tomorrow - that's Sunday 5 August, for those watching on catch-up - we'll be back at the Rushcutters in Thorpe St Andrew, Norwich. We'll be playing outdoors at the waterside, from 3pm, and if the current dry weather holds it'll be a great way to wind down with a drink, good music and good company. As we're messing about by the river, it'll be blazers and boaters time!
